Michael Abrams was born and raised right in the heart of Music City - Nashville, TN. His roots run deep in music having learned drums under the instruction of Joe Hobbs, Bill Bachman, Chris Watson and other heavy hitters in the marching percussion world. His percussion career started in high school and consisted of several successful years competing in WGI Scholastic Open Class and World Class Championships in Dayton, OH as well as SCGC regional competitions throughout the southeast. In college, he marched with the University of Tennessee's Pride of the Southland Band, then taught at two high schools in the Knoxville, TN area that participated in WGI as well as CIPA regional competitions. Shawn Myers

Shawn Myers, a California-native of the central coast, has been drumming since he was 8 years old. Studying under greats such as Billy Hart (Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock) and Jamey Haddad (Paul Simon), Shawn has cultivated an approach honoring his mentors while adding knowledge of challenges he personally faced learning the craft.

Drumming is first and foremost a social instrument created with the intent of “moving” people in all senses of the word. Shawn breaks down the components of movement to help the student achieve musicality and technicality. Thus, creating a drummer that will listen to the music and be spontaneous while relating to aspects of their own lives to pull from. This will result in engaging, fulfilling music and drumming.

Kevin Coleman

Kevin is an experienced and well rounded drummer and teacher. Growing up in the bay area, Kevin has been playing in bands since he was 12 years old and has performed in some of the major venues up and down the west coast and has toured all across the country. Kevin earned his degree in Jazz Studies from the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, CA and has been using his knowledge of the instrument as well as music history to teach students of all ages and skill levels.

Kevin's lessons focus on developing basic motor skills required to play drums, learning basic rudiments, being able to read rhythm and drum notation, developing groove, creativity and improvisation, and most importantly having fun!

Kevin Stewart

Kevin Stewart is a drummer and teacher based out of Walnut Creek, CA.  He began his teaching career in 2016 and has been developing a unique approach to helping people understand, appreciate, and push their own limitations within the endless ocean of music.

His teaching style has a strong emphasis on technique, while also focusing on bringing out and developing the unique potential of each student.  While never losing sight of the magic and inspiration that only music can bring us, we will build a strong foundation and learn that true freedom comes from discipline.
